Happy (belated) 7th Birthday Ezeekai!

So if you go to the previous post about Jaida's birthday, you will see that my christmas gift request for next year will be a time machine.  Why???  Read this

On March 23rd we celebrated our little guy in the house.  Ez turned 7 and he was excited about it...and we have proof!!!

Besides the fact that I love celebrating our kids b-days, Ez's bday marks the end of a long string of February and March celebrations, which can mean only one thing... I don't have to make that blasted double decker chocolate cake again until August!!!!  Can I get a whoot-whoot???

 Happy 7th Birthday Ez!!!!

Happy (belated) Birthday Jaida!!!

So next year for Christmas I am asking for a time machine!  Why???  So that when weeks go by and I haven't blogged about IMPORTANT LIFE MOMENTS, I can just hop back in that time machine and blog about the IMPORTANT LIFE MOMENT on the same day it actually occurs!
So,

HAPPY 9TH BIRTHDAY JAIDA!

HaPpY 12th BiRtHdAy NaTe!!!

Today is Nate's big 1-2 birthday!!!

Well, actually, Feb. 17th was the big day but it took me two days to post this post. Agh!
I love our kids birthdays.  I love being able to make a big deal about them throughout the day without feeling guilty about NOT making a big deal about someone else.  I've had to make these comments in the past, "Hey, it's (insert child's name) birthday today.  It is all about (insert child's name).  It's not about you.  When it's your birthday it can be all about YOU, but for today it is all about (insert child's name).  Everybody doesn't get a ribbon today people!"
So for today, we celebrate (NATE)!!!!!!!!  Our nature-lovin, outside-explorin, football and basketball playin kid just lookin for a great time!!!
Nothin like a little KFC to celebrate!

HaPpY 11th BiRtHdAy FaHnTa!!!

We got to celebrate Fahnta on February 6th.  I know, according to this blog, her 10th birthday was not really that long ago but we did have the obligatory 365 days since her last birthday.  Honestly, we did.
She loved all of her gifts.  She is becoming quite the fashion queen so her birthday list consisted mostly of clothes and accessories.  :-)  Thankfully, Kohl's was having a major sale, I had Kohl's cash and an additional 20% off coupon.  Can anyone say, "Cha-ching?"  I am thinking she enjoyed all of her gifts and the day carved out just to celebrate her!!  We love you Fahnta!!!
Our 11 year old:-)

It's the big 1-1!

Yesirree, we are celebrating Nathan today!!  11 years ago on this day our nature-lovin kid came to join us on this big round ball!  He was a week late, but as his life has shown, when he is ready for something, he.is.ready!  I was in labor for only a couple of hours at home and by the time we got to the hospital, i was ready to deliver and *POOF* out he came.  (yeah if only it was that painless!)  Nate was a late walker but when he decided he wanted to walk, he was walking around the house that day.  Potty training is a whole other story.  :)  He wasn't too keen on learning to ride his bike, but when he was ready for it, he was zippin on down the road that day!  That is just how Nate is.  You cannot cojole him into doing something before he is ready, but once he is ready, look out world!!!

So today we celebrate Nate.  Our 11 year old nature lovin, frog catchin, snake sneakin (snakes are NOT allowed in our house), picture taken kid!!

You have opened our eyes to the wonders of nature and now you are ready to capture those wonders with your new camera.  I can't wait to see the kind of pictures you will take!!

We love you buddy!  Happy birthday!
